Noyo Forestry operates as a Licensed Timber Operator (LTO #A012861) under the California Department of Forestry & Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) and as a Licensed Tree Service Contractor (CSL #1106653), registered with the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB). 

In accordance with California Public Resources Code (PRC) § 4571, any individual engaged in timber operations must hold a valid LTO license. Under PRC § 4527, timber operations are defined as:

"The cutting or removal, or both, of trees, including Christmas trees, from timberlands for commercial purposes, together with all incidental work, including, but not limited to, construction and maintenance of roads, fuel breaks, firebreaks, stream crossings, landings, skid trails, beds for logs, fire hazard abatement, and preparation of logs or other forest products for transport to market."

Our Type "A" License authorizes us to conduct all types of timber operations, ensuring compliance with California’s forest management, sustainability, and environmental protection standards. 

Noyo Forestry maintains comprehensive insurance coverage to protect both our team and clients. This includes:

• General Liability Insurance, Excess Liability Insurance, and Loggers Broad Form Insurance, exceeding California’s legal requirements for tree service and logging operations.
• Workers' Compensation Insurance through the California State Compensation Insurance Fund.
• Commercial Auto Insurance for our vehicle fleet.

For transportation compliance, we are registered with:

• The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (DOT #3771060)
• The California Department of Motor Vehicles Motor Carrier Services and the California Highway Patrol (CA #600198)

For public works and government contracts, we are registered with:

• The California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR #1001133148)

Additionally, Noyo Forestry is licensed with the County of Mendocino (LIC #136763) and operates as a Limited Liability Company (LLC) registered with the California Secretary of State.
